Energy-Tel, LLC - Energy Update September 12 2013

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, September 11) at $3.60 per MMBtu down 8 cents from last week’s $3.68 (Wednesday, September 4).  The NYMEX near-month (October 2013) fell from $3.683 MMBtu (Wednesday, September 4) to $3.567 MMBtu this Wednesday.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates there was total increase in all sectors this week of 1.1%.. Noticeably consumption in the Residential/Commercial sector increased 6.6%.  Consumption in the Power sector decreased 0.9%.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage increased to 3,253 Bcf on Friday, September 6.  Stocks were down 5.0% from last year at the same time and 1.4% above the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, August 28) at $3.54 per MMBtu up 3 cents from last week’s $3.51 (Wednesday, August 21).  The NYMEX near-month (September 2013) rose 9 cents from $3.460 MMBtu to $3.567 MMBtu this Wednesday.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates there was total increase in all sectors this week of 2.6%.. Noticeably consumption in the Power sector increased 8.5% which was offset by decreases in the Residential/Commercial and Industrial sectors

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage increased to 3,130 Bcf on Friday, August 23.  Stocks were down 7.0% (235 Bcf) from last year at the same time and 1.5% (45 Bcf) above the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, August 21) at $3.51 per MMBtu up 15 cents from last week’s $3.36 (Wednesday, August 14).  The NYMEX near-month (September 2013) rose 12 cents from $3.342 MMBtu to $3.460 MMBtu this Wednesday.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates there was total decrease in all sectors this week of 4.5%.. Noticeably consumption in the Power sector fell 8.4%.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage increased to 3,063 Bcf on Friday, August 16.  Stocks were down 7.4 % (245 Bcf) from last year at the same time and 1.5% (44 Bcf) above the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, August 14) at $3.36 per MMBtu up 4 cents from last week’s $3.32 (Wednesday, August 7).  The NYMEX near-month (September 2013) rose 10 cents from $3.247 MMBtu to $3.342 MMBtu this Wednesday.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates there was an increase in Residential/Commercial consumption of 1.6% and an increase in Industrial consumption of 0.1%. Power sector consumption increased 1.8% from last week.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage increased to 3,006 Bcf on Friday, August 9.  Stocks were down 7.7 % (252 Bcf) from last year at the same time and 1.5% (43 Bcf) above the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, August 7) at $3.32 per MMBtu down 14 cents from last week’s $3.46 (Wednesday, July 31).  The NYMEX near-month (September 2013) fell 20 cents from $3.446 MMBtu to $3.247 MMBtu this Wednesday.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates there was a decrease in Residential/Commercial consumption of 6.8% and a decrease in Industrial consumption of 0.4%. Power sector consumption increased 5.6% from last week.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage increased to 2,941 Bcf on Friday, August 2.  Stocks were down 9.2% from last year at the same time and 0.7% above the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, July 31) at $3.46 per MMBtu down 24 cents from last week’s $3.70 (Wednesday, July 24).  The NYMEX near-month (September 2013) fell 25 cents from $3.98 MMBtu to $3.3.446 MMBtu this Wednesday.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates there was an increase in Residential/Commercial consumption of 7.8% and an increase in Industrial consumption of 2.1%. Power sector consumption decreased 16.3%.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage increased to 2,845 Bcf on Friday, July 26.  Stocks were down 11.5% from last year at the same time and 1.2% below the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, July 24) at $3.70 per MMBtu up 3 cents from last week’s $3.67 (Wednesday, July 17).  The NYMEX near-month August 2013 was up 7 cents from $3.629 MMBtu to $3.698 MMBtu this Wednesday.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates there was a slight increase in Residential/Commercial consumption while Industrial consumption remained flat. Power sector consumption increased less than 1 per consumption.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage increased to 2,786 Bcf on Friday, July 19.  Stocks were down 12.5% from last year at the same time and 1.6% below the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, July 17) at $3.67 per MMBtu down 2 cents from last week’s $3.69 (Wednesday, July 10).  The NYMEX near-month August 2013 fell 5 cents from $3.680 MMBtu to $3.629 MMBtu this Wednesday.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates there was a increase in Residential/Commercial of 3.1 per cent.  Industrial consumption increased 0.1 per cent and the Power sector consumption increased 5.8 per consumption.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage increased to 2,745 Bcf on Friday, July 12.  Stocks were down 414 Bcf (13.1%) from last year at the same time and 34 Bcf  (1.2%) below the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, July 10) at $3.69 per MMBtu up 15 cents from last week’s $3.54 (Wednesday, July 3).  The NYMEX near-month August 2013 fell 1 cent from $3.690 MMBtu to $3.680 MMBtu this Wednesday.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates there was a decline in Residential/Commercial and Industrial consumption offset by an increase in the Power sector of 0.2% for the week.

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage increased to 2,687 Bcf on Friday, July 8.  Stocks were down 443 Bcf (14.2%) from last year at the same time and 22 Bcf  (0.8%) below the 5 year average.

The Henry Hub spot pricing closed this week (Wednesday, June 26) at $3.72 per MMBtu, down 21 cents from last week’s $3.93 (Wednesday, June 19).  The NYMEX near-month July 2013 which expired this week fell from $3.963 per MMBtu to $3.707per MMBtu.

 

According to BENTEK Energy LLC estimates there was a 3.0% increase in domestic consumption, driven by a 11.1% increase in the power consumption. Increases in the electric generation offset decreases in industrial, residential and commercial consumption

 

According to EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report working natural gas in storage increased to 2,533 Bcf on Friday, June 21.  Stocks were down 522 Bcf (17.1%) from last year at the same time and 3.1 Bcf  (1.2%) below the 5 year average.
